An homogenizer is a chemical engineering equipment, which is mainly used to evenly mix two immiscible liquids or solid-liquid mixtures to form an emulsion. The working principle of the homogenizr is to pass the mixture through a high-speed rotating blade or rotor, and add an emulsifier while stirring at high speed, so that the incompatible liquid or liquid is mixed with solid particles, thereby forming a stable emulsified state.
The main components of the homogenizer include motor, rotor, container, blade, emulsifier filling port, outlet, etc. The motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed, so that the mixture produces high tangential speed and shear force, and the incompatible liquid or liquid mixed with solid particles is forced to be evenly dispersed to form fine droplets or particles. During the mixing process, adding an appropriate amount of emulsifier through the homogenizer filling port can increase the stability of the mixture and maintain the emulsified state.
