Many friends will encounter such a problem when choosing pump products. Rotor pump, centrifugal pump and screw pump are silly and unclear, and they don’t know which one they should buy is better. If you want to buy the right product, you must know the basic difference between these pumps. If you buy the wrong one, it’s a waste of money. Today, I invite readers and friends in front of the screen to follow the steps of the editor to understand the difference between the three.
1. The difference between rotor pump and centrifugal pump
Rotary pumps and centrifugal pumps can’t tell the difference. Are they the same substance? I’m here to tell you clearly that not only are they not the same substance, but there is a huge difference in nature. First of all, the self-priming ability of the rotor pump is relatively strong, but the centrifugal pump is not like this. Before you use a centrifugal pump, you must add a large amount of liquid to it until it is full. Second, the rotor pump itself is a positive displacement pump, and the delivery flow of the positive displacement pump can be controlled to a certain extent. Some people even regard this type of pump as a variable pump. In this regard, the centrifugal pump cannot do it. The output of the centrifugal pump has a certain limit. If you want to change it, it is impossible. Third, the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump and the rotor pump is quite different, the rotational speed of the rotor pump is relatively low, and the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump is relatively high.
2. The difference between rotor pump and screw pump
The difference between a rotor pump and a screw pump is bigger than the difference between a rotor pump and a centrifugal pump. First of all, in terms of pressure, the two are very different. The pressure of the rotor pump is relatively low, but the pressure of the screw pump is relatively high. Secondly, the rotary lobe pump is very efficient and it requires less energy consumption, which is why it has always been favored. In contrast, the efficiency of the screw pump is closely related to itself, and the number of stages of the screw pump affects the efficiency of the screw pump to a large extent. Later, it is not difficult to find that the rotary lobe pump has a completely symmetrical structure, which gives the stainless steel rotary lobe pump the advantage of reversible direction. The direction I am talking about here refers to the direction of conveyance, don’t get me wrong. Unfortunately, the screw pump has no place for this use. The direction of the screw pump is single and cannot be reversed.
There are many types of pumps, and the functions and characteristics of different pumps are different. Even if they are similar, in essence, there are certain differences. Therefore, it is recommended that you understand this aspect in time to avoid unnecessary troubles in the process of choosing a pump.
