    Sanitary diaphragm valves are used in ultra-pure media in the semiconductor and microelectronics industries, such as chemicals. Different types of valves can be used for: ultra pure water (water for injection), ultra pure chemicals, bio pharmaceuticals, finished products and semi-finished products in the food processing and chemical industries.

    Diaphragm valves are particularly suitable for use in ultra-hygienic and aseptic applications. The valves, in their various configurations, are commonly used for shut-off, flow regulating and sampling duties. The diaphragm valve has a flexible diaphragm which is sandwiched between the body and the bonnet and acts as both the body seal and the seat seal. This design makes it ideally suited to aseptic applications as neither the product, nor any wetted part, comes into contact with the external environment. Maintenance requirements are minimal and the top entry design means that there is no need to remove the valve from the pipework for service. When correctly installed weir type diaphragm valves are fully self-draining.
